Through my Ed tech class, I was able to take Microsoft training courses. We were tasked with becoming certified Microsoft innovative educators. I was able to do so by passing two Microsoft courses. The courses and some of my takeaways from them are down below!
Course 1: Digital citizenship: Prepare today's learners for online success
Students must be taught how to be a good digital citizen in order to be safe on the internet
The five statements of being a good digital citizen are, be online, be public, be personal, be respectful, and be perceptive
It takes time to implement these ideas which is why the ISTE standards are made to help guide teachers in doing so
Course 2: Create and collaborate with canva for education and microsoft EDU
Canva has up to 420,000 templates to edit and create your own template
Canva has teacher features such as teams announcements, lesson calendars as team posts, classroom kits as top tabs, and newsletters as team posts
